Modeling & Simulation
- pyExaMINE Agent-based model of worldwide critical-mineral supply chains at facility resolution — individual mines, processors and recyclers for lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese and platinum. Shipments route through the real maritime chokepoints (Hormuz, Suez, Malacca, Panama, the Cape) with mode-specific lead times, and prices respond to geopolitical disruption, embargoes and material substitution. Facility data is curated from USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries, the IEA Critical Minerals Outlook, S&P/BMI and company filings.
- ExaEpi GPU-accelerated agent-based epidemiology built on the AMReX framework, running on Aurora, Frontier and Perlmutter. The simulation engine behind the DOE/ASCR EMERGE project.
